2007 All-Star Game Dates and Logo Unveiled31 May 2006
BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs today announced the dates for the 2007 Central Hockey League All-Star Game and All-Star Banquet. The Mudbugs will host the league-wide event for the first time in franchise history, as part of their upcoming tenth anniversary season. The 2007 Central Hockey League All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday January 17, 2007 at 7:05 p.m. at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, Louisiana. The game will showcase the best players in the CHL and will be preceded by the annual CHL All-Star Skills Competition. On Tuesday January 16, 2007, the Mudbugs will host the annual All-Star Banquet with the location and time to be determined. "The preparations are fully underway and we are thrilled to be hosting this event in January here in Bossier-Shreveport," said Mudbugs General Manager Jason Rent. "We've got a chance here to showcase, not only our franchise and facility, but also the entire region and league. Our fans and community will make this one of the most memorable all-star games in CHL history." The Mudbugs have also unveiled the official 2007 CHL All-Star Game logo which features the traditional Mudbug wearing Mardi Gras items, the state of Louisiana, and the new Central Hockey League logo. "We anticipate a very enjoyable and successful 2007 Central Hockey League All-Star Game," said CHL President Brad Treliving. "Under the direction of owner John Madden and General Manager Jason Rent, the All-Star host Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs have established themselves as one of the premier franchises in all of minor professional hockey and we are confident their efforts will ensure a first rate event."
