AlwaysOn Holds 4th Annual Stanford Summit

28 June 2006

AlwaysOn announced today that it is hosting its fourth annual event, the AO2006: Stanford Summit in collaboration with its partner, the Stanford Technology Venture Program. The Summit will take place from July 25-27, 2006 at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California. Every year AO's highly-regarded Summit brings together successful entrepreneurs, business and political thought leaders, and top venture capitalists, to spot trends and spark new ideas and initiatives.

More than 600 technology and investment insiders, as well as high-profile media, will attend the AO2006: Stanford Summit to listen to keynotes from industry luminaries including David Goldberg, Head of Yahoo! Music; Michael Arrieta, Senior VP, Sony Pictures; Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com; Dr. Paul Jacobs, CEO of Qualcomm; Vinod Khosla, Partner, Kleiner Perkins and many others.

The AO2006: Stanford Summit will showcase the AO100, with selected industry expert keynotes. The AO100 is a premier list of private companies that have demonstrated leadership among their peers in market traction measured by revenue or customer growth, and game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players. In order to make the AO100 list, companies had to be peer-nominated. AlwaysOn received more than 1,000 nominations from venture investors, investment bankers and other industry experts for the AO100.

"The AlwaysOn Stanford Summit is rapidly becoming one of the premier industry events in the US, attracting an international crowd of C-level executives," said Tony Perkins, founder of AlwaysOn. "This year we have an exciting range of speakers and panel discussions ranging from the future of open source, software as a service, blogging and its influence on marketing, to venture capital and IP piracy wars."

The format of the Summit will follow interactive panel discussions along with a series of Fireside Chats and recognition of the AO100 companies. The Summit will also be streamed via webcast around the globe.

AlwaysOn has again joined forces with the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB) to produce the popular CEO Showcase program. A subset of the Summit, The AO & MIT/Stanford Venture Lab CEO Showcase program highlights 50 emerging companies that will present their businesses to a panel of industry insiders and a standing-room-only audience. The top three companies will be given the opportunity to present to the audience on the main stage at the end of the event.

AlwaysOn and VLAB will also host an exclusive, pre-event party on July 11, 2006, to be attended by AO100 winners, sponsors and other industry luminaries.

Sponsors of AO2006 include: Accenture, Ask.com, Audi, Bridge Bank, Citrix, HP, Jefferies Broadview, KPMG, LEWIS PR, Manatt, MIT/Stanford Venture Lab, Motorola, Netsuite, Nova Scotia, Novell and QUALCOMM.
