29 March 2006

Fort Wayne-based Attero Tech, LLC announces today its membership in Luminary Micro, Inc's Design House Program, in a deal which will allow Attero Tech's customers to benefit from Attero Tech's strong relationship with Luminary Micro.

This strategic partnership brings together two experts in the field, Attero Tech's superior systems engineering expertise and Luminary Micro's revolutionary industrial embedded focused Stellaris(TM) family of microcontrollers based on the ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller core.

Attero Tech is an expert in providing systems engineering (including both software and hardware engineering and development) as well as project planning and management for its OEM customers. Current OEM customers utilize Attero Tech's services in consumer and commercial audio/video, Brushless DC motor control, Bluetooth applications, and commercial/residential lighting control. Attero Tech's clients include such luminaries as Bose(R) (http://www.bose.com), Niles Audio (http://www.nilesaudio.com), David Clark Company, Inc. (http://www.davidclark.com), and Fort Wayne-based Variable Torque Motors (http://www.variabletorquemotors.com).

"We are excited about being able to publicly discuss our work with Luminary Micro," said Attero Tech President Russel Sundholm. "Luminary Micro's Stellaris microcontrollers providing access to 'ARM for a dollar' goes a long way toward making the ARM architecture ubiquitous among our customers. Our customers love it!"

Luminary Micro's Design House Program provides strategic support, early access, and co-marketing opportunities to qualified systems design companies. "We were pleased to welcome Attero Tech as the first member of Luminary Micro's Design House Program when the program began in 2005. Attero Tech is one of the finest systems development teams in the industry, and a great asset to our customers who need world-class execution of their development programs," said Jim Reinhart, CEO of Luminary Micro.

Mike Sims, Attero Tech Director of Sales & Marketing concludes: "The design house program allows us to offer a key strategic advantage to our customers. Our relationship with Luminary Micro gives us early access to high performance, cost effective microcontrollers and the time-to-market advantage of developing systems on the ARM architecture. Luminary Micro's product plans and market focus appealed to us from the start, and we believe that this partnership will allow us to provide unmatched systems implementations for our OEM customers."
