G-Technology Inc Introduces G-SAFE11 January 2005
G-Technology Inc. (G-Tech) today introduced G-SAFE, a new line of fail-safe FireWire 800 RAID systems for personal computers. G-SAFE is equipped with an on-board hardware RAID 1 controller that seamlessly mirrors data to provide the user with fail-safe operation and peace of mind. Should a disk failure occur, the data stored on G-SAFE remains intact. Swapping out a failed drive in G-SAFE is very simple and results in an automatic rebuild of the array. G-SAFE sports a high-speed FireWire 800 interface for fast data transfers and is available in useable storage capacities up to 400 GB.
"G-SAFE is a truly plug and play fail-safe storage solution for personal computers," said Roger Mabon, President of G-Technology, Inc. "Simply connect G-SAFE to a FireWire 800 port and the system will protect the content you store on it. Think of G-SAFE as a low-cost insurance policy for your valuable data."
