GlassHouse Consulting and Operational Services Help Footstar, Inc. Optimize Data Backup and Disaster Recovery Operations29 March 2006
GlassHouse Technologies strategic consulting and operational services have helped footwear retailer Footstar, Inc. streamline its data backup processes to align with its Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategy and operational needs, GlassHouse announced today.
During a three-month strategic consulting engagement, GlassHouse made recommendations for modifying Footstar's Tivoli Storage Manager backup environment and re-designing its disaster recovery plan, then implemented the recommendations that Footstar approved. After the initial engagement, Footstar hired GlassHouse Operational Support Services (OSS) to remotely manage Footstar's backup procedures around the clock. Once Footstar made the decision to have GlassHouse perform the remote services, it took only one month to plan, re-design, implement and cutover successfully.
