Maxtor Demonstrates the Flexibilty of Serial Technology at Storage Networking World Orlando

Maxtor Corporation
(NYSE: MXO) will be participating in the Storage Networking World Conference,
October 24-27, 2005 in Orlando, Florida at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes
Resort. Maxtor will be teaming with Promise Technology and other storage
industry leaders to showcase the flexibility, performance and scalability of
serial technologies. Maxtor will also be speaking at a session on Serial
Attached SCSI (SAS) during the conference.

What: Maxtor's booth will highlight its complete line of enterprise
hard drives including the Atlas(R) 15K II SAS drive for the
highest performance storage, the Atlas 10K V SAS drive for
balanced performance and capacity storage and the
next-generation 500GB MaXLine(R) SATA drive for high-capacity
storage. The drives will be featured in three Promise Vtrak
J300s SAS storage systems.

The Maxtor booth will also showcase systems including the
Adaptec SANbloc S50 JBOD, JMR SAS subsystem and Xyratex 1603
16-bay SAS subsystem, and controller cards and host bus
adapters including the PCIe Adaptec Serial Attached SCSI RAID
4805SAS controller, AMCC's 3ware 9550SX SATA II RAID card, ARIO
Data's SANARIO FS PCI RAID Controller and LSI Logic SAS3442
Host Bus Adapter (HBA).

SNIA Tutorial Session -- Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Transforming the
Storage Market
