New Dunlop Tires Web Site Offers Driving Enthusiasts Roads Less Traveled, Interactive Promotions and More

Dunlop® Tires, a global consumer brand of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. made famous in racing and motor sports, has launched a new Web site.


The easy-to-use, streamlined site - www.dunloptires.com - created by Hitchcock Fleming & Associates Inc.'s (hfa) interactive marketing division, the Buzzwerks™, is the only Web site in the industry to offer online tire purchasing. The new site also features a dealer locator, an online retail store and tips and technical facts for the driving enthusiast in us all.


In addition to providing the ability to buy tires, setting this site apart from others is its Adrenaline Drives and Destination Drives sections. Here, Web surfers can satisfy their craving for roads less traveled or family trips. Each page provides photographs and hotlinks to travel information and points-of-interest.


The result is a user-friendly Web site with new, interactive promotions; screensavers and wallpapers; road trip tips; race and event information; and car and tire-care maintenance tips.


According to Jenny Kryszan, hfa account manager, the Dunlop representatives are thrilled with the results.


«We love it,» said Andy Traicoff, director, Dunlop brand. «It has a lot going on, but it delivers the information in a clean, easy-to-use format. The brand is involved, energetic and dynamic and the new Web site is representative of that.»


«The biggest concern was usability,» added Kryszan. «Our clients wanted site visitors to be able to find what they want easily.»


«Dunlop is the only tire manufacturer that is currently selling tires online,» said Kryszan. «We wanted to improve the tire-buying experience by making it as user-friendly as possible.»


One of the goals of the new site was to enable users to find exactly what they came to the site for in three «clicks» or less. To support this goal, all of the site's navigation and main topics are placed on the left-hand side of the page – on every page. Upon clicking on the heading of interest, a drop-down menu appears with all the subtopics included in that section.


The improved, interactive promotions portion of the site provides a variety of opportunities including rebates, giveaways, Dunlop posters and decals and the ability to signup for the Dunlop Drivers Cup racing events.
