NSI Software and SANZ Deliver Affordable High Availability Storage Solution15 August 2005
NSI Software, Inc. (NSI(R)) today announced SANZ, a premier storage consulting and system integration company, has joined the NSI Xcelerate Partner Program as a Platinum Partner, the program's highest level of commitment. NSI and SANZ are delivering high availability, disaster recovery and centralized backup solutions to customers, including Austin, Texas-based NCsoft(R) North America.
NCsoft and its affiliates develop or publish the widely popular online computer games Lineage(R), Lineage II, City of Heroes(R) and Guild Wars(R). NCsoft Corp., headquartered in Seoul, Korea recorded worldwide revenues of $246 million in fiscal year 2004. NCsoft selected NSI and SANZ for data protection at its four datacenters in Los Angeles, Washington D.C, Austin and Frankfurt, Germany, each containing about 50TB of data. NCsoft's data centers are configured in a circular, high-availability network which uses NSI Double-Take(R) to replicate data between its facilities. Additionally, NCsoft has centralized its tape backup operations with Double-Take to reduce the high operational and capital expenditures associated with maintaining tape drives at disparate locations.
NCsoft originally considered competitive solutions for the large implementation, but deployed Double-Take based upon the company's service and support expertise acquired over hundreds of engagements in a wide range of environments. Additional requirements that determined the selection of Double-Take included:

-- An integrated, comprehensive feature set for high availability, and
-- Automated application failover capabilities.

Under the partnership agreement, SANZ becomes a nationwide reseller of the NSI Double-Take and GeoCluster replication products to provide businesses of all sizes affordable data protection for Microsoft(R) environments. SANZ conducts extensive testing before adding a product to its portfolio. NSI Double-Take replication software exceeded SANZ's expectations for performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
